Walk for Palestine

This is a sponsored walk. Walk wherever you are, at your own pace, ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your miles, and add them to our shared journey from Belfast to Rantisi Children’s Hospital in Gaza City. Every walk counts. No sign-up needed.

Our combined miles follow mapped roads, paths and ferry links from Belfast, via Cork and Roscoff, to Gaza City. This is a virtual solidarity challenge; the map shows shared progress, never individual walkers’ locations. Your personal code

This is a test code and will stop working when the real challenge starts. Save this somewhere safe. It’s the only way to add more walks or edit these ones from another phone or computer. We can’t recover it for you, because we don’t store it.

      Taking part

Walk for Palestine is a sponsored walk: you walk, and the people who back you give to the cause.

      1

      Get sponsored

Ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your miles, by the mile or with a one-off amount. Sponsors can donate online.

      2

      Walk

Between 1 November and 28 November, walk wherever you like, at your own pace: the commute, the dog, a hill, the march itself.

      3

      Log it

Add the miles or kilometres from your phone, watch or route planner. You’ll get a code to keep, so you can come back as often as you like.

      4

      Watch us go

Everyone’s miles add up. The marker moves along the mapped route towards Gaza as we walk together.

      Questions

Yes. Walk for Palestine is a sponsored walk in support of IPSC Belfast’s work. Ask people to sponsor you, and they can give through our donation page. Logging your miles here adds them to our shared journey; it doesn’t take any payment itself.

We don’t ask you to register or sign in. Instead, the first time you log a walk we give you a random personal code like 482-915. Your browser remembers it, so on the same phone or computer you can just keep adding walks. On another device, enter your code to find your walks again. Anyone with the code can add to or change those walks, so keep it to yourself and write it down. If you lose it you can still start a new one, but your old walks stay as they are.

Only the date and distance of each walk, and an irreversibly scrambled (hashed) version of your code. No name, email address, location or GPS route. The public page shows only totals and the date and distance of the latest walks, never who they belong to. See our privacy policy.

Walks you’ve actually completed between 1 November and 28 November 2026, up to 100 miles per entry. Future dates can’t be logged. Dates use Belfast time. You can enter miles or kilometres; our shared journey is shown in miles. Please log each walk once — you can edit or delete your own walks under “My walks”.

Our goal follows mapped roads, paths and ferry links from Belfast, via Cork (Ringaskiddy) and Roscoff in France, to the road beside Rantisi Children’s Hospital in Gaza City, and includes the ferry crossings. It’s a virtual challenge, not travel advice: it doesn’t confirm current access or ferry services. Suggest a map correction.
